ROSWELL, GA — In continued efforts to safeguard the health and safety of the Roswell community during the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Roswell has decided to cancel or postpone many large city events that traditionally take place during the spring and summer months. Canceled and postponed events include the following. Where indicated, city staff will reassess the likelihood of holding certain events and will make final decisions by April 30. Alive in Roswell: Postponed until July 15. The city will reassess the decision to hold July's event on April 30Memorial Day Celebration: CanceledRiverside Sounds Concert Series: CanceledLavender Festival: CanceledFood Truck Fridays: On hold; will be reassessed by April 304th of July Celebration and BBQ & Bluegrass at Barrington Hall: On hold; will be reassessed by April 30End of Summer Celebration: On hold; will be reassessed by April 30The City of Roswell's decision to cancel or postpone these events was made out of an abundance of caution for the public, sponsors and vendors, and city staff and volunteers who organize and work the events. "The city is continuing to follow state and local public health guidelines, as well as adhering to CDC guidance regarding special events," the city said in a news release. "We look forward to resuming these events when it is safe to do so and will share updates with the public as they become available."
