Below is a summary of COVID-19 data on Friday for Oconee and Clarke counties and for the entire 10-county Northeast Health District. The Northeast Health District added only one death from COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added deaths dropped sharply.The District added 214 new cases of COVID-19, and the seven-day rolling average of added cases increased for the third day in a row.Oconee County Schools reported increases in the number of Active Cases and Active Quarantines over a week ago.The Department of Community Health has not reported any COVID-19 deaths at the District's long-term care facilities since Feb. 9.Area hospitals reported a drop in the number of COVID-19 patients.The state reported shipment of 164,060 additional doses of COVID-19 vaccines.For details and for state comparisons, please click through to Oconee County Observations.
