Press release from the Syracuse City School District: SCSD Seeks Comment on Public Health Emergency Protocols Published on 2/25/21 In accordance with New York Education Law § 2801-a(2)(m) and New York Labor Law § 27-c, the Syracuse City School District has drafted Public Health Emergency Communicable Disease Protocols to guide District employees and the community in preparation for and in response to a declared public health emergency involving a communicable disease. The protocols were presented to the SCSD Board of Education on February 24, 2021 and are open for public review and comment through March 26, 2021. Once the community has provided feedback and the Board of Education has approved these protocols, they will become a part of the district safety plan.
