The Source - a band that is a mix of soul, jazz, rock, R & B, world... that is an indefinable, but enjoyable musical experience for both audience and band members, is looking for experienced, creative musicians (all instruments and vocals considered) who would like to be a part of something unique, but still commercial enough to be successful. This is not a cover band, although the occasional cover may be reworked into our style when we feel it fits. We perform original music that is light, fun and highly accessible to most audiences, not overly technical, too artsy, or so esoteric that is looses the average listener, but not “pop” either. It's the kind of music both musicians and non-musicians can appreciate, each on their own level. The music is a highly rhythmic mix of electric and acoustic, vocal and instrumental - the kind that make people tap and bop, and maybe even get up and dance This is a semi-professional, working band, not a jam session. Applicants must want to perform often once the pandemic restrictions are relaxed. Please include a link or attachment to audio/video (preferred) media where we can hear you play and get a feel for your style and skill level. Submissions without media will not be considered.
