Fire, need auto help (Vancouver)
Last Sat. my home on X str. completely burned and destroyed everything I had. It was so hot, my car in the driveway was damaged. I am a female senior citizen. My only income is SSI so I have little to nothing to work with, my emergency fund even burned. I am not asking for money but I need help with my car. To top it off, tomorrow I will be homeless and I really need my car running before the property managers tow it off and I lose that too. It started right up and runs but I could smell gasoline fairly strong so I'm afraid to drive it. Could a certified mechanic please help me to get my car running safely? It doesn't need anything major, I was driving it prior to the fire. I feel so embarrassed asking like this but I don't know what else to do.
