Fast paced Diesel Truck Repair Shop is currently looking for a Shop Assistant/Parts Chaser. We offer health care and other benefits. Competitive wages based on experience. The position is full time (40 Hrs.). Opportunity for advancement. Duties/ Responsibilities: • Pick up parts from vendors in the Salem and Portland areas. • Assist in delivery and return of parts and/or cores to vendors. • General shop clean up. • Perform miscellaneous tasks, as needed. • Assist mechanics with larger jobs, as needed. • Perform basic preventative maintenance services on trucks, as needed. Qualifications: • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record. • CDL a plus, but not required. • Pass a drug screening and background check. • Diesel experience a plus, but not required. • Self-motivated with good decision-making skills. • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. • Must be able to follow directions.
