Swiss-army band seeks multi-instrumentalists

Description

Hi, we’re two idiots in our mid-20’s and have a dream to expand an original project that involves switching instruments every song or two. Technicality-wise, if you can play The Stooges you’re golden. The goal of this is to have fun exploiting creative freedom and attempting to resurrect some good genres of music that have since passed: proto, post and classic punk, funk and surf primarily. We’d use just enough pop to keep people listening and just enough jazz to keep them hating us. At first we may have to pretend to be a punk band because, for some reason it’s the only genre with entry-level opportunities to play live other than crashing a VFW’s “open mic” which is just boomers playing blues covers for boomers. Not to sound like a boomer myself, music is in trouble and easy access to live performance outlets is one of the best things that sadly faded with the 80’s- or so I’ve read. *end rant* I know it may matter so please know we do drink and smoke casually; it’s for lowering inhibition, not ambition, honest. If you don’t care about that, we don’t care where you stand. A (sick) sense of humor would be quite welcome. Finally, a few folks we hope you like, too but no worries if not Bowie, Iggy, Rick James, Prince, Television, Big Black, Kate Bush, Oingo Boingo, Joy Division, Dead Kennedys, Jimi, Van Halen, Snakefinger, Devo and, uh, The Smiths. If this sounds cool we can swap samples. I didn’t know how to write these without coming off as vapid so please excuse any of that.
