At Miller Wall, we solve problems by building MSE retaining walls. Every wall solves a client’s problem. Grade change, slope stability, road access, building pad, etc. We do this with all types of MSE walls. Small Block, Panel, Wire Basket, Big Block (Redi-Rock, Stone Strong), reinforced soil slope are all in our toolbox. We work in Homebuilder, Commercial, DOT markets. We are looking for a well-rounded Foreman. Responsibilities: The workweek is typically Monday through Friday (there will be some Saturday work). We are looking for exceptional team players that are creative, self-motivated, that excel in critical thinking and problem solving. The foreman coordinates operations in the field and oversees the crew; they are the primary point of contact of both workers and supervisors, the foreman is a central leader for completing the project on time and on or under budget. Duties include but are not limited to leading the crew in successfully completing the construction of our MSE retaining walls. Additionally, the foreman will be responsible for ensuring that the crews are working in a safe and efficient manner, communicating project progress to project managers/supervisors, overseeing training of crew members, reading plans and specs, ensuring quality work and correct practices. Our requirements: • Advanced knowledge in wall building process, MSE retaining wall is ideal. • Deep knowledge in field operations civil construction (Earthwork) • Ability to set up and Use Laser effectively • Ability to read engineering plans, shop drawings and understand budget estimates • Bilingual (English-Spanish) is helpful but not required • Driver’s License in good standing • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills • English (read and write) • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflict • People oriented- enjoys working with people • Be able to pass a drug and background screen • Ability to lead by example • Strong math skills • Superior planning skills • Proficient with Windows Office Suite Job Type: Full-time Pay: The position pays $26+ /hour (based on experience).
