At Miller Wall, we solve problems by building MSE retaining walls. Every wall solves a client’s problem. Grade change, slope stability, road access, building pad, etc. We do this with all types of MSE walls. Small Block, Panel, Wire Basket, Big Block (Redi-Rock, Stone Strong), reinforced soil slope are all in our toolbox. We work in Homebuilder, Commercial, DOT markets. We are looking for a well-rounded Construction Equipment Operator (specialized in earthwork). We call this a Wall Builder Level 3 (W3). Responsibilities: The workweek is typically Monday through Friday (there will be some Saturday work). We are looking for exceptional team players that are creative, self-motivated, that excel in critical thinking and problem solving. The W3 is a support person for field construction activities directly related to the MSE wall building. General knowledge of MSE wall building is helpful but not required. Our W3’s are required to adhere to all safety protocols at all times, maintain equipment in addition to other duties. Our requirements: • Read survey steaks • Be able to use a laser shoot grade • Knowledge of moisture density relationships to get compaction • Familiar with moisture treating class 1 material • Knowledge of how to create and maintain a roller pattern • Knowledge in slope excavation • Knowledge in type A,B,C soil classifications and cut requirements • Bilingual (English-Spanish) is helpful but not required. • Willingness to work in a team environment, and assist co-workers as well as supervisors with other duties as required • Driver’s License in good standing • Safe and good driving record • Be able to pass a drug and background screen • Have own transportation • Be able to lift 100 lbs. in outside working conditions • Be able to complete a background check • Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner Job Type: Full-time Pay: The position pays $22 - $26 /hour (based on experience).
