SALARY: $18.65 - $20.52 Hourly OPENING DATE: 02/22/21 CLOSING DATE: 03/14/21 11:59 PM OVERVIEW: The City of Tigard is seeking a qualified Seasonal Utility Workers in various divisions. These positions may require weekend work. All seasonal positions are limited to 1040 hours and serve on teams in the streets, parks, sanitary/sewer or green infrastructure. Additional Information: Successful candidates must pass a physical capacities test designed to evaluate ability to perform the essential physical functions of the job. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of training and experience, which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade AND Six (6) months of manual labor or landscape experience. NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 18 years of age. Upon completion of reference checks, the finalist for this position will be extended a conditional offer of employment subject to passing a physical, drug screening and background checks prior to the final job offer. Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
