I'm so sick and tired of lames that will not do what is expected of them in a band situation. Take a look in the mirror you self-involved pinhead. I don't care how good a player you are, if any of these describe you, YOU are the problem. You show up to rehearsal unprepared. You forget how to play songs we've played countless times. You expect someone else to do all the promotion and get all the gigs. Your gear is always on the fritz. You play too damn loud. You don't pay attention to what the rest of the band is doing dynamically. You don't pitch in on anything. Not just $ or gear, but effort. You bitch about the songlist that you ok'd just a month ago. I could go on and on. The reality is most bands need a leader. And that leader should set the agenda. But it's up to the individual members to carry their share. And a big part of their share is listed above. Why is it that the people who are guilty of not carrying their share are always the ones that resent the band having a leader? Rant concluded.
