Job Description:
VinaKom Communications is looking for a skilled Telecommunications Fiber Technician for our Schaumburg Office. The ideal candidate will be experienced in WAN/LAN deployment technologies and methodologies for both voice and data networks across a variety of media. Technicians with hands-on experience with everything from POTS to single and dual-mode fiber are encouraged to apply. Strong problem solving, communication, and customer service skills are required.
Duties:
Installation, troubleshooting, and repair of cables and end user equipment Provide internal support for troubleshooting workstation and remote field laptop problems, telecommunications equipment including a variety of computer and communications hardware and software
Requirements:
- Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks in different locations and work environments.
- Ability to work as part of a team supporting all aspects of network operations.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and service deployment methods.
- Ability to work directly with various vendors and clients.
- Capacity to use hands-on experiences in the design of new networks.
- Great problem solving skills.
- Promptness in response to both internal and customer service requests.
- A valid driving license and accessible transportation for the greater Chicago land area.
