United Fire is looking for a skilled and experienced Portable Fire Extinguisher and Range Hood Technician. You will need to have the ability to: - perform annual and semi-annual inspections/certifications on portable extinguishers and range hood systems respectively -be able to service and repair fire extinguishers and range hood systems -Read blue prints - Adhere to laws and code of ethics based upon affiliated NFPA standards (NFPA 10 for Portable Extinguishers, and NFPA 17, 17A, 12, 12A and 96 for Range Hood) - Learn about the Fire Protection/Alarm Industry daily while working with experienced lead fire alarm technicians and inspectors. - Documenting any failures and discrepancies found during an inspection or service job through both online reporting and service tickets - Assist Lead inspector with fire alarm and sprinkler inspections - Current FASA BASA Card (Preferred) - Computer Proficiency (Preferred) Experience - minimum of at least (3) years servicing/inspecting portable fire extinguishers and range hood systems - Must have current state florida permit for both portable fire extinguisher and range hood and be current with all CEU's for both. - Need to be willing to learn and looking for an opportunity to grow into possible fire alarm inspector Compensation - Competitive pay - Full benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision) - 401 K - Paid Time Off (Eligible after 90 days) Job Type: Full-time COVID-19 considerations: All United Fire Protection Technicians and employees are expected to adhere to COVID-19 Guidelines set by the CDC including but no limited to: wearing masks and any other PPE, social distancing and standing at least 6 feet apart from customers.
