From concept to completion, you will be part of the team that is a leader for curtainwall and building enclosure systems in Central Ohio.Assists in the development of shop drawings for building envelopes, fenestration, and other interior and exterior architectural elements including but not limited to unitized curtain walls, entrances, punched windows, coping and interior partitions using computer aided design (CAD) software to meet customer requirements and complies with company and industry standards and governmental regulations. Assists in maintaining company processes and standards. Works under the immediate direction of the Director of Engineering. Duties & responsibilitiesAssists in generating shop drawing details using architectural and structural drawings and project scope documents. Creates fabrication drawings of assemblies and components. Provides limited support to production and shop personnel during manufacturing of the designed assemblies and components.Adheres to company processes and standards.Other duties as required.Minimal travel required.JOB PERFORMANCE CRITERIATakes initiative identifying and researching problems.Responds to problems perceived by others, distinguishes "symptoms" from root causes.Develops appropriate and creative solutions and chooses best alternative.Implements corrective action in a timely manner.Ensures problems do not reoccur. Demonstrates a strong work ethic by his/her actions and sets an example for others to emulate.Consistently demonstrates a positive attitude even under pressure, deals calmly with stressful situations.Promotes positive image of company and department.Resolves conflict directly by focusing on the issue, not the person.Respectful, tactful, diplomatic and courteous when interacting with others.Takes initiative.Holds self and team accountable and honors commitments.Position RequirementsAssociates degree in Engineering Technology, Design Drafting or related field (or within 3 months of completing degree-degree must be completed) or minimum of 3 years of drafting experience.Expresses thoughts, ideas and technical information clearly both verbally and in writing.Well-developed drafting and mechanical drawing skills.Works well under the pressure of time constraints and changing expectations.Proficient using AutoCAD.7:30am to 4pm 40-62K
