Description
We have two large apartment communities in the university area of Tampa is in need of a full time skilled maintenance technician.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Performing service requests and routine general maintenance
Proper reporting of completed service requests through company system
Unit inspections
Scoping units for rehab or turn
Unit punch work
Maintain vendor relations
Coordinate and schedule vendors for all aspects of unit turn/rehab if needed
Coordinate maintenance and rehabs with onsite supervisor
Quality control inspections of vacant units and work performed
Tenant relations if needed during service work performed
Work within budget guidelines
Monitor community parts inventory and place orders as needed
Required skills:
At least 4 years experience in apartment maintenance
Proficiency in general maintenance and repair
HVAC and/or EPA Certification (2 positions available one with / one a plus but not required)
Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
Ability to use a smartphone for service order reporting
Ability to work inside or outside in year round
Ability to lift/move heavy items including appliances if needed
Ability to work alone or with others as required
Must have reliable transportation
Must have cell phone with the ability to be on call for after hours emergencies in a rotation
Bilingual English/Spanish desired but not required
Ability to monitor multiple vendors through rehab or turn process
Hours and Compensation:
This is a full time position 40 hours per week M-F
Overtime for emergencies on rotation is required after hours and on weekends
Salary offered is commensurate with experience
Up to 10 paid days off with time served
Paid major holidays after probationary period No health insurance or onsite apartment at this time.
