JFK Shipping Company Seeks Experienced Warehouse Workers

We are a shipping company just outside of JFK Airport looking for new people to join our warehouse team. Full-time positions available only -- applicants should have some warehouse experience and know how to operate a fork-lift. We have two main work-shifts available. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work either of these shifts: Shift #1: 9:00am to Completion (approx. 6-6:30pm, Monday to Friday) Shift #2: 11:00am to Completion (approx. 9-9:30pm, Monday to Friday) Thursday/Friday are the busiest days so completion time is usually later than the times indicated above. Starting Salary is $650.00 per week (NET take home). All employees are eligible for salary review after 1 year based on performance. Holiday Bonus Package given annually to employees but is only given based on performance All applicants must consent to a background check. We are regulated by the TSA, FAA and US Customs. At the time of the interview, all applicants will be expected to sign our Background Check Consent Form All applicants must be authorized for employment in the US. Duties include but are not limited to the following - - Must know how to properly operate a forklift - Loading and offloading trucks/trailers/containers using forklift and pallet-jacks - Weighing skids/boxes using our warehouse scale and issuing "warehouse receipts" for any freight that comes in - Organization of freight for planned container loadings or outbound deliveries - Organization of warehouse floor space for planned incoming container offloadings - Labeling and marking boxes and pallets - Doing inspections/piece counts for different products - Completing inspection reports (we will train according to our company specific requirements) - Warehouse organization including upkeep and maintenance, both inside facility and on the surrounding of the building. - Providing inventory report of any supplies/material that needs restocking. - Keeping warehouse doors closed/secured at all times. There is always an opportunity for growth within our company however it is strictly based on job performance.
