Description
We'll be exploring a diverse array of French cheese and charcuterie, perfectly paired with our favorite wines, sweets, and snacks! A French proverb claims, “un fromage par jour de l’année” – there is a different cheese for every day of the year. With hundreds of varieties of cheese and wine, each with regional traditions and generations of expertise, it is no wonder that France is considered to be at the pinnacle of cheese and winemaking. In this class, our wine and cheese experts will guide you through the French classics, including several cheeses not found anywhere else in the United States! Alongside this epic cheese flight, we will be pairing four classic French wines to highlight French winemaking traditions and how they incorperate seamlessly with French cheese. By the end of this class, you will be sure to be proclaiming, "Vive le Fromage!" We are raising funds for the Cambridge Community Center to support their ongoing virtual learning initiatives. This class will take place virtually at 8 pm on Saturday, February 27th. To fully participate, please follow these three easy steps: 1. Reserve your ticket through Eventbrite! The flat rate of $15 guarantees that you will receive a Zoom link within 24 hours of the class. This ticket is your admission to the classroom. 2. Choose your bundles! In the ticket add-ons, choose either a Small (fit for two) or Large (fit for four) Cheese bundle, which includes four cheeses, two accompaniments, and crackers. The Small Wine Bundle includes two French wines showcasing different regions, and the Large Wine Bundle includes four. Finally, our Charcuterie Bundle includes a selection of our favorite French charcuterie items to round out the perfect cheese board! 3. Pick up your bundles the day of the class! Bundles can be picked up at our Huron Avenue location anytime after 12 noon on the day of the class (2/27). IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are not local and need your bundles shipped, you will need to call us at 617-354-4750 by Wednesday, February 24th to have this arranged.
