Summary Description: The Job Site General Laborer performs tasks involving physical labor at job sites. The position may help prepare sites, bring materials to sites, run errands on site, clean up debris, and remove waste materials. The position may assist and support other plumbers working on assembling and installing pipe systems, pipe supports, and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Installs pipe for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, plumbing and industrial production and processing systems. Essential Job Functions: • Performs a variety of tasks involving labor in HVAC construction projects. • Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards. • Assists with materials handling and storage. • Assists with unloading trucks and materials. • Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the Superintendent. • Must be familiar with jobsite safety policies and restrictions. • Understanding of all job site requirements and the ability to wear the necessary Personal protective equipment as each job site deems necessary.
