The Healing Garden: Gardening for Mind, Body, and Soul Conference will host Deryn Davidson, Marcia Tatroe, Brian Sebade and Melissa Scianna
Join us for a fun day of learning as we welcome four speakers covering diverse topics.
Deryn Davidson, of CSU Extension of Boulder County, will cover active and passive rainwater harvesting to take advantage of the natural precipitation that falls on your property and lessen the need for municipal water sources. We will cover the how-to's and plants that lend themselves well to these types of gardens.
Marcia Tatroe, regionally and nationally know author and speaker, specializes in container gardens and will teach that with container gardeners there really are no limits to what Zone 4 gardeners can grow! She will also teach about what elements to incorporate into creating a garden sanctuary of your very own.
From Brian Sebade, UW Extension Educator from Albay County and native plant enthusiast, we will learn about common edible and poisonous plants of Wyoming; which ones are edible and which ones should be avoided.
Melissa Scianna, owner of Vintage Apothecary is traveling from Montana to teach us about herbs that benefit our mind, body and soul. She'll address culinary as well as medicinal nd spiritual uses of herbs and give us tips on keeping our herb plants healthy and ideas for harvesting them.
Maximum number of attendees will be capped to adhere to COVID-19 guidelines, so you will want to register early!
