Hello my 2010 Subaru Outback unfortunately has recently seen some misfortune and lost compression after one of the valve rods got bent, or so is suspected by the Subaru dealership. Best assessment is replace the engine as the service to the existing one would be upwards of 4,000.
Looking for a mechanic to take on the engine swap work. If interested I can provide the warehouse space to work out of and have capacity to lift and drop the engine in house. I'll provide the engine and parts. This is a great gig for an entry to mid level mechanic to cut their teeth or gain experience working on a vehicle who doesn't have a space to work out of. I can pay hourly with check ins with me (do not exceed) or a quoted figure and I'll be out of your hair.
Most likely won't be interested in quotations from a shop who need to cover their overhead or biz operations expenses.
