Car we bought a year ago from an unethical seller/car lot, for $13,000.00 - to take my 87 yr. old, catastrophically disabled husband - a VET - to ER and medical appts has been impounded for expired registration. The car lot (which advertises as a P/P convinced me to pay them for registration and receive pink slip and registration in mail. Never arrived.
Months later,- company was put out of business by irate buyer - (co. name is still used for advertising and online sales)
Car hadn't been registered for 5 years.
Initially I couldn't pay parking tickets because they weren't in SFMTA system
Now, Parking Ticket numbers refer to "two separate cars", both black Hondas, plate numbers one digit off -neither registered to me -no proof of ownership except sales agreement.
SFMTA insists there are two cars.
DMV insists I return to seller (who doesn't exist anymore) and demand a pink slip. DMV referral to "investigations" is not a valid number.
CAR- WILL BE SOLD SOON!!!! WE CAN PAY FOR HELP OR ADVICE
I can't care for my husband at home without a car. Senior resources not helpful. We have no support in the community. We're desperate!
