Ashland locals and friends Ian Van Ornum and Dani Aubert, of Fellow Pynins share the eve with Peia accompanied by Travis Puntarelli!
Fellow Pynins (pronounced PIE-nins) is a contemporary folk duo that has been dwelling deep in the mountains of Southern Oregon. Their music employs the sounds of the mandolin, banjo, guitar, bouzouki and their voices in harmony to tell the stories of this human existence: the hardships of farming life to the eerie edges of dreams and the gallant joys of love.
Peia Luzzi is a song collector & writer, drawing inspiration from her ancestral roots of Celtic and Old World European music, and folklore. With a soaring soprano voice, she dances nimbly between Child Ballads and 17th C. Gaelic laments, to Waulking Songs from Scotland, and old Bulgarian mountain wails. Her timeless originals speak to the heart of the human condition.
