The following is a letter to the editor. The views here do not necessarily reflect those of Sudbury Patch. I've had the privilege of knowing Dan and Silvia over the last few years and have worked with them on several topics in town. They are both incredibly devoted to Sudbury, tirelessly available to the public for meetings and questions, and always insightful and respectful in their interactions with me and others. These are the qualities we want and need to retain on the Select Board and SPS School Committee. Please join me in voting to re-elect Dan to the Select Board and Silvia to the SPS School Committee on Monday, March 29, for the following reasons: Both Dan and Silvia offer a pragmatic approach to decision-making, always driven by what's best for the town. They solicit feedback, are always open to differing opinions, and work diligently to serve the best interests of all people in Sudbury. Dan and Silvia are dedicated, level-headed, and work well with a variety of people, always doing their homework to fully understand the issues they are working on. Silvia is focused on increasing in-person hours for SPS, knowing its best for students' academic and social-emotional well-being. One of Dan's interests is continuing his work on addressing the L-S Regional Agreement—an issue that every resident in Sudbury should be interested in having the Select Board tackle. Their institutional knowledge is critical, particularly on Boards with several new members. Dan and Silvia are team players through and through, respected immensely by everyone they work with, and know how to work with people to get things done. Having served in their roles for more than three years, they know the town, the committees, the issues, and are ready to continue their work on day one. Beyond these points, Dan and Silvia are two of the friendliest and most approachable people who are genuinely passionate about their volunteer work. I hope you will join me and the many other Sudbury residents who enthusiastically support their candidacies.
