Description
MEDFORD, MA — The city plans to turn a section of contaminated soil at Riverbend Park into a meditative labyrinth space.
The 1,000-square-foot corner of the park, close to the Andrews School and adjacent to where the future Clippership Connector will link to the existing path network, showed "exceptionally high" levels of contamination during testing and is currently fenced off, officials said.
The city's proposal calls for capping the area with concrete to create options for passive use. It will hold a virtual public meeting Wednesday, March 3 at 7 p.m. to discuss the design and hear feedback.
To register and join the meeting, visit http://bit.ly/37Dluwi. The meeting will be livestreamed through Facebook and Medford Community Media.
For those unable to attend the meeting but interested in submitting feedback, a video recording of the meeting will be available at www.medfordma.org/departments/community-development, and feedback can be submitted to [email protected].
