PORT RICHEY, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is searching for a man involved in a hit-and-run accident Tuesday on U.S. 19. At 10:17 p.m., 31-year-old Christopher Steven Cignarella was driving a car north on U.S. 19 at Regency Boulevard. A 20-year-old Port Richey woman was driving south on U.S. 19 and turned left at Regency Park Boulevard. Troopers said Cignarella ran a red light at the intersection, struck the passenger side of the other car and collided with a curb. He then fled the area on foot, troopers said. Cignarella doesn't have a driver's license, which has been suspended multiple times. Troopers searched the area for Cignarella but was unable to find him. The other driver sustained minor injuries in the crash. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Cignarella is asked to contact the FHP at 813-558-1800 or Crime Stoppers at 800-873-TIPS.
