Westport Woman Accused Of 'Electronic Stalking': Norwalk Police

NORWALK, CT — A 50-year-old Westport woman was arrested on a warrant by Norwalk police this week and charged with electronic stalking, according to authorities. Vicky Lavergne, of Hale Street, surrendered to police Monday in connection with the case, which began earlier this month. According to Norwalk police, the department received a complaint on Feb. 6 from an individual who discovered an electronic tracking device in their vehicle. An investigation revealed "that Lavergne had placed the device in the vehicle several months prior," police said. Details about the type of tracking device, and what led to the accusation against Lavergne, were not disclosed. Lavergne was released after posting bond on bail of $25,000, and was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
