The company operates a plant in St-Jerome and Las Vegas and a subsidiary in Vietnam. Reporting to the Installation Manager, the Installer will oversee the installation and/or repairs of furniture components in college dorms, hotels, motels or military housing. The Installer will provide training and instructions to crews on-site. While on-site the Installer serves as a liaison between the customer, and the Sales department. The Installer will work as a product specialist to assist in the complete customers satisfaction process. KEY FUNCTIONS • Ensure the furniture is assembled and installed in proper place by using tools such as screw guns, rubber mallets, screwdrivers, staple guns and electric drills • Oversee moving crew of 10-15 people and helping to unload trucks (when needed) • Routing of trucks • Unwrap furniture and set up rooms • Visual inspection for quality • Repair possible shipment damage • Order replacement parts • Dispose of debris • Complete a walk- thru with the customer • Keep records of time sheets & expense reports • Responsible to follow all safety procedures • Performed assigned jobs in plant facility when not on the road • Any other duties as assigned by supervision or management QUALIFICATIONS • 3 years experience working with hand tools • Experience in furniture installation preferred • 1-2 years experience carpentry experience preferred • Must possess a valid drivers license • Must be able to travel up to 90% of the time COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS • Exceptional communication skills • Strong time management / planning and execution skills • Demonstrate leadership and team working skills • Superb problem solving skills • Detail oriented with ability to multitask • Proficiency with technology - MS Office • Good verbal and written communication skills • Collaborative team oriented mindset • Willingness to travel within the USA up to 90% of the time • Proven ability to deliver results • Ability to work in a continually changing environment DESIRABLE ASSETS • Experience in the furniture Industry • Sense of adventure • Enjoy travelling JOIN US Interested candidates are invited to submit a cover letter and resume.
