NORWICH, CT — A man was arrested in North Carolina in connection with a fatal shooting in Norwich last year, according to The Day. Phillip Wise, 40, with a last known address of 37 Lake St., Norwich, was charged with murder. Police responded to the shooting July 21, 2020, on Lake Street, in which Anthony Lashawn Williams, 39, was killed. Wise, who was known to have connections in other states, fled the region and an extraditable warrant for his arrest was approved July 24. Norwich detectives worked with U.S. Marshals to capture Wise.
