BRIDGEPORT, CT — Eight gang members were recently charged with drug trafficking, racketeering, and multiple attempted murders, according to a statement from prosecutors. The indictments are tied to a drive-by shooting outside a Bridgeport courthouse in January 2020 that injured four. See related: 4 Shot Outside Bridgeport Courthouse The eight recently indicted include Marquis Isreal, aka "Garf," 24; Asante Gaines, aka "Santi," 24; Destine Calderon, 26; Diomie Blackwell, aka "Yamo," 24; Laheem Jones, aka "Heemie," 25; Tyiese Warren, aka "Loose Screw," 20; Jacquon Benejan, aka "Blick," 19; and Undrea Kirkland, aka "Spooda," 24. Twenty-two gang members in total have been indicted in the case. The investigation has resulted in the arrests of members of the Greene Homes Boyz, aka "GHB/Hotz," based in the Charles F. Greene Homes Housing Complex in Bridgeport's North End, and members of the Original North End, aka "O.N.E.," an allied gang. These gangs have been allied against other Bridgeport rivals including the East End, East Side, and PT Barnum gangs, as well as 150, which is based on the west side. Those indicted are accused of shooting and attempting to kill members of the rival gangs in numerous incidents in 2015, 2018, and 2020. The indictment accuses GHB/Hotz members of dealing heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, and Percocet pills as well as committing numerous acts of violence against rival gang members and other people. These crimes were celebrated on sites such as Facebook and YouTube, according to prosecutors. GHB/Hotz members and their associates are also accused of deterring and threatening potential witnesses.
