Description
A winter storm warning ends at 8 a.m. for Denver's metro area and other Front Range regions, but the National Weather Service is warning of slick, dangerous roads.
Between 5 and 13 inches of snow fell in some regions, weather officials said.
"Travel will be difficult and is discouraged," a National Weather Service alert read. "Slick roads are expected for the morning commute."
Many schools and government buildings have delayed their openings.Denver Public Schools, Jeffco Public Schools and Adams 14 are holding remote classes Thursday.
Littleton Public Schools, the Douglas County School District and Aurora Public Schools are closed Thursday.
"If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency," the alert read.
