Full Job Description – Assist. Manager / Commercial Lawn Service Fertilizer Applicator - Hiring for immediate START!!!! Job Summary: Doehling Landscape Services, Inc. is one of the premier lawn care companies located in Shakopee, MN servicing its surrounding communities since 2003. Our growing business is seeking well-rounded Lawn Treatment Applicators and Assistant Managers for the 2021 season. Duties / Responsibilities: • Fertilizer and pesticide applications to both residential and commercial accounts • Assist in building & development of daily & weekly work schedules for lawn maintenance teams • Assist in management of equipment and materials needed for lawn maintenance operations • Properly follow safety procedures and pesticide label instructions • Drive a company vehicle to and from customer locations • Operate commercial spreaders/sprayers, push spreaders & hand sprayers • Lawn aerations, commercial and residential accounts. Ride on and walk/behind machine • Assist lawn maintenance crews as needed throughout the season • Complete required production accurately in a timely manner • Maintain vehicle and equipment cleanliness • Work Monday through Friday, approximately 40 hours/week Skills / Qualities We’re Seeking: • Must have a valid driver’s license • DOT medical card • MN Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (or the ability to obtain one) – Cat. A/E • Strong computer, written and verbal communication skills • Positive team attitude and independently motivated • Reliable, punctual and organized • Ability to efficiently manage customer communication and office tasks on time • Able to repeatedly lift 50 pounds • High School Diploma (or GED) • Able to work in various weather conditions (8-10 hours a day) • Professional appearance • Minimum 1 year of previous lawn care treatment experience or minimum of 3 years of experience in lawn care is preferred, however we will train the right candidate • Previous commercial snow removal experience is a plus, but not required What We Offer: • Paid training • Company shirts, hats, hoodies, jacket, etc. • Company cell phone • Top-of-the-line equipment • Designated work truck • Reliable, bi-weekly pay (via direct deposit) • Paid holidays • Overtime opportunities • Vacation time • Flexible winter season schedule Compensation: Combination of Hourly pay rate and Salary (during winter months): Very competitive (DOE). This is a full-time, year-round position. During the winter you will be required to perform other duties which include snow removal, fall cleanups, and other job-related duties as requested.
