Public Safety MHFA provides law enforcement and Staff with more responses to help de-escalate incidents and better under mental health
Public Safety Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness, trauma, self-injury, and substance use disorder. This 8-hour training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to appropriate care.
It focuses on the unique experiences and needs of public safety personnel and is a valuable resource in their lives, coworkers' lives, and families.
Lunch will be provided with light refreshments throughout the day. COVID-19 Protocols will take place and masks are strongly encouraged. Please cancel via Eventbrite if you find you are unable to attend after registration.
