MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — The City of Manhattan Beach is closing down its recent expansion of the outdoor dining area Downtown on Manhattan Avenue and expects to reopen the avenue from 12th Street to Manhattan Beach Boulevard later today. Outdoor dining decks, patios and sidewalks in the public right-of-way in North Manhattan Beach and Downtown remain open like they have been since Los Angeles County allowed a return to public outdoor dining a few weeks ago. City staff says the city "will review the equitable allocation of outdoor dining areas for restaurants in the public right-of-way." The two-week trial closure of Manhattan Avenue allowed Manhattan Beach Post, Fishing With Dynamite, Nando Trattoria, Slay Steak and Seafood, and Tacolicious to expand their dining capacity.
