Description
ST. CLAIR SHORES, MI — Some St. Clair Shores residents may be able to receive their COVID-19 vaccine this weekend thanks to a partnership between the city, Walgreens and McLaren Health Care.
The city is offering COVID vaccines to people in the 1B category as defined by the Macomb County Health Department between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday through Sunday at the St. Clair Shores Senior Center, 2000 Stephens.
"We are very grateful to McLaren Health Care and Walgreens for bringing the COVID vaccine directly to our citizens," St. Clair Shores Mayor Kip Walby said. "Hopefully, this vaccine coupled with the precautions of masking up and staying six feet away from others will help bring an end to this pandemic, and life can return to normal."

Residents in that category include people 65 and older, frontline essential workers who live or work in Macomb County, PreK-12 school personnel, government employees living or working in Macomb County and Childcare providers.
Eligible residents can sign up for their vaccine online but are required to sign up for a first and second dose at the same time. The second shot appointment must be three weeks later, officials said.
