CORNELIUS, NC — Police made five arrests in Cornelius this past week, for charges that included driving while impaired, resisting an officer, larceny and trespassing, according to the most recent police blotter. Arrests made by Cornelius Police Department between Feb. 17 — Feb. 23, 2021: Zachary Austin Boykin, 26, was arrested Feb. 17 on Catawba Avenue at Holiday Lane, charged with driving while impaired. Andre Davonte Higgins, 26, was arrested Feb. 17 on Viewpoint Lane, charged with misdemeanor larceny. Zion Kamaou Shaw, 21, was arrested Feb. 19 on Chandler's Landing Drive, charged with carrying a concealed gun and resisting a public officer. Danielle Elisabeth Barton, 42, was arrested Feb. 19 on Jetton Road at Bethel Church Road, charged with driving while license revoked impaired. Leanne Michelle Cochran, 58, was arrested Feb. 23 on North Main Street, charged with second degree trespass.
