Description
I have an established (~2 year old) culture of powder orange isopods (Porcellionides pruinosus) and need to thin the numbers a bit, so I'm looking for someone to adopt a handful. I'm offering a culture of 50-60 individuals (I made sure to count) of various sizes, all alive and healthy. These guys are a common species, and great for a beginner isopod keeper, food for various herps, or for a terrarium/vivarium clean-up crew. They're easy to care for and breed like crazy; this amount is more than enough to start your own main culture (I began with 20). They're kept on organic soil I mixed myself, and fed a variety of veggies and fruits, oak leaves, and freeze-dried fish, along with cuttlefish bone for calcium and filtered water.
Adoption fee is $25, price is firm. Local pickup in Oceanside only, cash preferred please but PayPal works as well. You can find them online for $15-$25/10-15 individuals, not including shipping, just to give you an idea of typical prices.
