Professional drapery workroom currently looking to hire someone willing to start an exciting career in the trade of custom window treatments. We are looking for someone who is willing to learn new techniques or train in a new skill. Experience with industrial sewing machines like a blindstitch, walking foot, tacker, and straight stitch are a plus but not required. Some of the work would entail: - Cutting out projects - Light upholstery work on cornice boxes - Hemming and blind stitching draperies - Learning to make patterns for valances - Sewing pillows/ cushions - Maintaining a clean workspace - Roman shades: motorized and standard We have fun, diversified workroom with positive energy. Our staff enjoys the work that they do and enjoy each other’s company. A willingness to work with others and take direction is a must. Our work hours are typically Monday-Friday 8:30-5. We are happy to be flexible with your hours dependent upon your specific needs. Some benefits are offered after a 90-day probationary period.
