Description
As a successful Maintenance and Improvements Manager, you’re instrumental in keeping the restaurant running smoothly. We are looking for someone that is handy, a good problem solver, organized, cool under pressure and a great communicator. You will need to understand the inner workings of the front and back of house and be familiar with basic plumbing, electrical and general building practices. You will report daily to the Development Manager, General Manager and Executive chef and will consolidate your checklists into efficient weekly action plans to be signed off and executed.
This role is unique in that you will be responsible for not just functionality but also the aesthetics of the restaurant. To truly excel you will have to be someone that not only fixes problems as they arise but can identify where functional and aesthetic breakdowns are likely to occur and use preventative measures before disaster strikes. A successful Repairs and Maintenance Manager will communicate well with the leaders in the restaurant to find long lasting solutions for the restaurant, they will show good judgement of character when utilizing contractors and tradespeople for fixes and will be capable of fixing some problems themselves.
You must have experience in woodworking, painting, some plumbing, some electrical.
Bilingual-spanish is a plus.
You must be able to crawl into attics, and climb ladders.
