Shop Helper – Job description: We are looking for a hard-working and capable Shop Helper to assist the Shop Manager with various shop related duties. The ideal candidate must have great attention to detail, and have the ability to work with various machines and tools as well as follow all mandatory safety precautions. Professional traits such as a willingness to learn, positive work attitude and desire to grow within the Company are also strongly preferred. Responsibilities/Requirements: Under the supervision of the Shop Manager, responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Light services and repair of machinery and vehicles • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of facility and equipment (i.e. sweeping, dusting, polishing equipment and tools, emptying waste containers, and load/unload materials) • Move shop inventory to various locations throughout our warehouse both manually and by operating mechanical equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, and handcart) • Maintain service logs and maintenance records on vehicles and motorized equipment as assigned by the supervisor. • Utilize excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills to deal positively with senior management, employees, vendors and customers • Implement tasks, directives, and protocols for the company’s Warehousing & Yard operations, as well as (delivery) distributions and parts pick up for the mechanics’ operations • Uphold a valid California Drivers License while practicing safe & professional driving habits based upon your delivery duties.
