The Brookland Dog Walking Company has an opening for a dog walker to serve Petworth and Brookland neighborhoods. We're looking for someone who will not only provide exceptional care for dogs, but will also work well as a part of our team, and represent the company with excellent customer service and reliability. Experience with pets (boarding, grooming, walking, vet office) and working with customers is preferred. Must possess an honest work ethic, sound judgment, and understanding of client relationships. Smartphone with internet access requirement: We use a mobile scheduling system so our walkers have convenient access to their schedules.  All new hires will receive on-the-job training. This is a part-time position, M-F and weekend rotations, typically between 11am -2pm. There will likely be full-time opportunities once the pandemic subsides. Full-time employees will be eligible for pay increases and health insurance after 6 months. Differential pay for the morning, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.  In addition to the above requirements, our ideal candidate is honest, patient, and respectful. You should enjoy meeting new people, take pride in helping others, and feel excited to work outdoors with animals. 6 month commitment consent to criminal background check vehicle preferred, but this position is well-suited for a bicycle.
