Job Description: The Service Technician is responsible for ensuring that apartment units and other property facilities are in good working order. This includes diagnosing and repairing air conditioning and heating units, electrical appliances and outlets, plumbing, carpentry, locks, and similar repairs. This position also follows a planned preventive maintenance schedule and follows up with residents after repairs are completed. The Service Technician also assists others in related positions including assisting in preparing recently vacated apartment units for rent availability, landscape projects, and renovation projects. Essential Functions: As a maintenance technician you will assist with maintaining the operation of the property and grounds + Maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value of the community + Troubleshoot, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, dry wall, exterior + Responsible for 100% Ready Apartments for Move-in + Prompt and efficient response to resident maintenance requests + Excellent verbal and written communication skills + Ability to be on call for after-hours emergencies + Knowledgeable on OSHA regulations, health, safety and environmental laws + Make Ready Responsibilities + Repair and improve all units prior to tenant move in date + Assists in keeping grounds clean at all times. + Assists maintenance when requested. + Reports supply needs to manager and/or senior maintenance technician + Repair and replace damaged sheet rock + Maintain grounds by removing debris and trash + Perform additional duties as requested by Property Manager and Lead Maintenance Supervisor Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $15.00 per hour
