Central States Roofing is looking to hire a Mechanic in Colorado Springs. Pay is dependent on experience. Family health insurance is included in the benefit package plus 401k Experience in the repair and maintenance of automotive equipment is preferred. Valid Driver's License is required. Essential Job Functions: Perform work maintaining and repairing automotive fleet, small equipment, and Heavy Trucks. Hydraulic Experience Preferred. Perform repair and maintenance of small engines and various other equipment. Inspect and service automobiles, trucks, and other equipment. Change and repair tires and respond to road service calls. Perform tune-ups on cars, trucks, and small engines. Troubleshoot and repair electrical controls and motors. Repair and Maintain Roofing Equipment. Inspect suspension and exhaust systems and make repairs. Fuel, wash and clean vehicles. Assist with loading and unloading of warehouse supply trucks. Help with towing broken-down vehicles. Provide assistance to other crews as needed. Respond to after hour emergencies as requested. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. Must be able to: This work classification is considered heavy physical work requiring the exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally and up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Lifting requirements of the same weights apply. -walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel and crouch -work in various inside and outside environments being subjected to weather changes, noise, vibrations, job hazards and atmospheric conditions. -use visual acuity required for depth perception and color perception -visually inspect small defects and/or small parts -use a variety of measuring devices -assemble or fabricate parts at or within arm's length -operate machines, motor vehicles, hand tools, and job specific equipment and tools -observe general surroundings and activities -hear sufficiently to accurately perceive information at normally spoken word levels -use communication by means of spoken word to express or exchange ideas -safely work in situation of exposure to blood borne pathogens which may require specialized personal protective equipment. -use safety equipment in all required areas -work 40+ hours Monday - Friday and some Saturdays when needed.
