We are a wholesale and retail nursery that specializes in perennials and woody ornamentals. We're looking for a couple of energetic and detail oriented staff members for the 2021 season. One full time and one part time position available, full time hours are Tues-Sat 9am to 5pm. Activities include but are not limited to raking mulch, watering, hauling inventory, transplanting, receiving new stock, weeding, and sales. We are a small crew with a low tech facility but you'll learn a lot! We are located in the country with mature tree cover, wood-chip paths, and an abundance of wildlife. Our season begins March 15th and ends the 3rd week in November, weather depending. Required: -Comfortable with physically demanding work ▪️ lifting 30lbs+ safely and routinely ▪️ standing, walking, kneeling for long periods throughout the day ▪️ pushing/ pulling heavy loads with hand-trucks and plant carts -Capable of working in inclement weather (muddy, cold, rain, heat, etc) -Saturday availability for the majority of the season -Ability to be flexible, we work outdoors therefore weather dictates our workflow. Helpful: -Knowledge of trees, shrubs, and perennials -Ability to lift 50+lbs -Bobcat experience or willingness to gain experience
