Summary Maintain a high level of Food Safety and Product Quality through the cleaning and sanitation of food processing equipment, utensils, and facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include but not limited to: • Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times • Maintain cleaning and sanitation in accordance with the company Master Sanitation Program • Utilize chemicals and cleaning agents to clean and sanitize processing area walls, floor, and equipment • Utilize refuse and sanitation tools in a proper and safe manner • Removal of debris from processing area • Communicate chemicals supply levels to management • Maintain plant safety • Maintain and proper use of equipment • Work independently with minimal supervision • Provide back up support for other duties as needed • Become certified as an electric pallet jack and forklift operator • Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the job. A. Education and Experience Required: • None Preferred: • Experience with the utilization of sanitation tools and chemicals, food safety, and the safe operation of forklifts and powered pallet jacks B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements • None C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. • Ability to write simple correspondence. • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. • Basic math skills of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division • Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
