Please note: This is a PART TIME position. It will be approximately 30 hours a week to start. We are currently looking for an experienced pool technician who is personable, responsible and accountable. The applicant should have relevant experience, their own transportation to get to and from work, a working cell phone (with data plan) and a clean driving record. Position Title: Swimming Pool Technician Position Summary: As a swimming pool technician, you make sure that the water is clean and safe for clients and their guests. The technician will service and maintain swimming pools, spas and hot tubs at client’s homes and businesses. Required Duties and Responsibilities: • Must be a self-starter who desires a quality outcome in everything they do • Respond to swimming pool related work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner • Assess and remediate issues with pools • Maintains manual and/or automated records of all activities • Clean, diagnose and maintain swimming pools, water systems, filter systems, pumps, and pool equipment • Tests the chemical levels in swimming pools and other water systems and adjusts as needed • Provide basic maintenance for pool pumps, filters, vacuums and pool automation equipment • Transport, handle and store hazardous chemicals • Operates and inspects tools and equipment and makes minor adjustments and repairs • Operates vehicles to transport various types of materials and equipment • Use swimming pool vacuum cleaners to clean the pool floor • Use a telescopic pole with net to clean and remove any debris in pool • Logging and reporting equipment faults or water quality problems Pre-requisites: Must be a good communicator and willing to interact with clients. Must be efficient, organized, personable, poised and well groomed. Must have experience in pool, spa maintenance including chemical use, chemical level testing, pump, equipment maintenance, pool plumbing and other related items. MUST have a safe and clean driving record. Other mechanical experience a plus. Experience: At least one year of work experience in similar role is required. Education: Technician will be required to become a certified Pool and Spa Operator as part of this position. This education will be paid for by the company. Continuing education will be required each year. Job Type: Part-time, approximately 30 hours a week. Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
