Description Our client is hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift DIRECT HIRE Maintenance Mechanics for their facility In Skokie, IL. Our client is searching for individuals who have worked on heavy machinery like 300 or1200 ton punch presses and rubber mold injections machines. It's also important to note that you'll need to have experience trouble shooting the machines themselves, and not just installing or moving them. #LI-TM1 Job Responsibilities Follows safety rules, participates in safety meetings, notifies supervisor of unsafe conditions and events hazardous to others and the environment. Completes paperwork correctly and legibly.Maintains work area in a safe manner. Visually inspects and listens to machines to locate causes of malfunction.Inspects and measures parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems.Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rulers, calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments. Suggests and makes changes to equipment. Operates a variety of lifting equipment to move, install, and modify parts and equipment. Ability to fabricate and modify Knowledgeable of facility layout, building numbers locations, etc. P.C. literate to complete safety required CBT. Technical skills to operate hand and power tools to work safely in a maintenance environment.
