P/T 20 Our family-owned and operated farm is looking to hire a farmhand to assist with various needs to operate our organic farm successfully. The ideal candidate would have already worked in a farm environment and have the skills and tools necessary to perform various handyman tasks and overcome challenges as they arise. If you enjoy a rapidly changing work environment, problem-solving, and assisting to maintain a farm that gives back more than it takes then this is the job for you! Company description: Small family-operated OLCC licensed Tier-1 recreational cannabis farm. Focus on organic, regenerative farming techniques, improving the environment as we work. High-variety work environment, for people who like problem-solving on day-to-day workplace challenges. Write your own hours. Work hard, play hard. We have river frontage, camping, swimming holes, fire pits. Desired Skills/Requirements: Plumbing experience Mechanical experience - generator maintenance, dehumidifiers, lighting Experience with climate control Self-sufficient and resourceful to troubleshoot obstacles Forklift & Tractor experience Ability to provide general tools Have worked in a farm environment Flexible schedule - ability to perform work during the week. Will train how to apply skills to marijuana farming OLCC marijuana worker’s permit required - company willing to pay for permits. Physical requirements: 50+ lbs lifting Working in the rain, various weather conditions Long periods of standing/on-foot, kneeling, squatting/on-back underneath plants Good English communication Compensation: $25/hour or reasonable equivalent.
