The Story of How a Brother Saved His Sister's Life

Description

Fluffy and Connor are bonded siblings who have had a rough start in life. Connor showed up on my porch one day, battered and wounded, pleading for help. Later, we learned that his wounds were from licking himself raw from the anxiety of living on the street. I took him in and nursed him back to health. However, Connor still showed signs of distress, as if he were worried about something. But what could it be? One day, Connor escaped and returned with his sibling, a little gray female we named Fluffy. Fluffy was in really bad shape. Based on the extent of her injuries, it was clear that she was being bullied and beat-up by the older cats in the neighborhood. If Connor hadn’t gone to rescue her, she would not have survived for very long. Connor quickly adjusted to life indoors. He is a total cuddle bug. He lays in my arms in bed when we go to sleep. I can pick him up, squish him, and kiss him, and he loves it. It has taken more time to gain Fluffy’s trust, due to the abuse that she experienced early in life. She is now a quiet girl who prefers to “socially distance” by hanging out just a few feet away from her humans. She also loves her brother dearly, and she will run to him whenever she feels scared or uncertain. He is her rock. For Fluffy’s sake, Connor and Fluffy must go together. Fluffy and Connor are >1 year old, spayed & neutered, as well as fully-vaccinated (Rabies/ FVCRP/ FIV negative). There will be a small adoption fee of $150 to cover all veterinary expenses incurred.
