Full-Time Landscaper Job Description Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and diligent Landscaper to join our team. You must be comfortable operating lawn maintenance equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and blowers, and understand how to water, fertilize, and prune decorative shrubs and plants. We own and operate all of the newest and top of the line industry equipment to make the job easier and more efficient. We pride ourselves in keeping our clients’ exterior safe and looking beautiful, so our team works in various types of weather conditions and performs maintenance duties to ensure employee safety during inclement weather by removing debris, snow, and ice from walkways and spaces. Duties and Responsibilities Must be able to perform all aspects of landscape maintenance including but not limited to, • Perform weekly lawn maintenance • Mulch applications and shrub trimming • Maintain existing landscaping turf and planting beds • Perform spring and fall clean-up's • Safely operate equipment such as mower's, string trimmers, hedge trimmers, backpack blowers, etc. • Properly store and handle all equipment, tools, etc. Landscaper Requirements and Qualifications • At least 18 years old • Must work well with others as part of a crew/team • Must be reliable and dependable • Previous experience in landscaping a plus • Knowledge of how to operate lawn maintenance equipment, such as mowers, string trimmers, blowers, and hedge trimmers • Have ability to be on-call during winter months for snow removal and work outside of normal work hours. • Able to stand, bend, and squat for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds Job Type: Full-time Schedule: • 10 hour shift Education: • High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: • Landscape Maintenance: 2-4 years (Preferred) License/Certification: • MA Driver's License (Preferred) This Job Is Ideal for Someone Who Is: • Dependable -- more reliable than spontaneous • People-oriented -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projects • Adaptable/flexible -- enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction • Detail-oriented -- would rather focus on the details of work than the bigger picture • Achievement-oriented -- enjoys taking on challenges, even if they might fail • Innovative -- prefers working in unconventional ways or on tasks that require creativity
