Study and Overview of the New Directory for Catechesis The Institute for Catholic Life and Leadership in the Office for Catechesis presents a bi-monthly study of the new Directory for Catechesis. As catechists and lay leaders its important for us to make time for our own professional catechetical development. This is an opportunity to study and discuss together the recently released Vatican document on catechesis. Rolando Moreno will give an overview of the chapters and highlight certain areas of importance for ministry. There will be time for question and answer. There are two opportunities to participate, in person at Queen of Peace Parish in Salem and virtually through ZOOM. If you register to attend virtually, we will email the ZOOM link the week of the presentation The dates for each meeting are as follows: March 4th and 18th April 8th and 22nd May 13th and 27th Each session is from 1pm-2:15. Having a copy of the new Directory is encouraged. To order a copy click HERE Rolando Moreno serves as the Director of the Office of Catechesis and Faith Formation for the Archdiocese of Portland. He taught Theology at Central Catholic High School, and served as Pastoral Associate of Catechesis and Family Life at St. Joseph’s in Salem. He received his master’s degree of Theological Studies from the Pontifical John Paul II Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family at the Catholic University of America and a Bachelor of Arts in the Theology and Philosophy with a Concentration in Catechetics from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Rolando and his wife Angela have five children and live in Keizer. OR.
